Nexans AmerCable Names New General Manager
Nexans AmerCable is pleased to announce that Dominik Klotzbach has been named general manager. Mr. Klotzbach is a highly experienced cable business leader with an entrepreneurial background. He has a strong track record in operations management, business development, sales and finance.
Prior to joining AmerCable, Mr. Klotzbach served as managing director of the Nexans North America High Voltage Group in Goose Creek, South Carolina, where he led their transition from manufacturing land-based cables to subsea products. From 2015-18 he served as the Ghana Nexans country manager, the Nexans area manager for Anglophone West Africa, and general manager of Nexans Kabelmetal Gh Ltd (NKG), where he grew the company’s sales by 100% in a three-year period.
On the entrepreneurial side, in 2004 Mr. Klotzbach founded Gold Coast Fruits Ltd. in Adeiso, Ghana, and served as its managing director. This start-up company established a new 1,200-acre pineapple plantation which grew to export 180 tons per week to customers in Europe and the Middle East. He sold his shares of the business to institutional investors in 2015.
A native of Germany, Mr. Klotzbach holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Heidelberg and a Diplom-Kaufman (advanced business degree) with a focus on marketing and product management from the University of Cologne.
Mr. Klotzbach is married with two children. His after-hour interests include tennis, kitesurfing and reading.
